Google is by far, one fo the most popular engines out there right now. Its such a standard engine today that most people refer to a search on Google as saying "just Google it". With just under 5 billion pages in the Google index, your bound to find just about anything. Google also features many other options for end users.

Yahoo is considered the second biggest search engine to date. Recently Yahoo powers over half the searches on the web, coming out with an amazing 260 million users world wide. Launched in 1994, Yahoo is the oldest search directory. At this time, Yahoo uses its own algorithm.

Currently MSN is still used by many. In july MSN decided to remove all paid listings from its index, making the results all spider based except for the top 3 overture listings. On Febuary 1, 2005 MSN released its beta search results. MSN now has their own form of results, which brings much speculation as to wether they need to do more updating.
